some thoughts – on several things

Business section:

Well, let’s start off with biz. We had a meeting last week with
Client Y and learned a lot about the project they have in mind for us. It
is a massive undertaking with more than 6 hours of full motion 3D video.
That’s in excess of 216,000 frames of lip-synched animation. Wow! We had a
great internal meeting and firmed up our estimates and time frames. There
are a lot of details still to look into, but we could really do an amazing
job with this.

Over the course of the last few months several of us have been looking
around at some of the websites that offer a marketplace for freelancers
and clients to hook up without much luck. It si pretty frustrating at
times and
this
page explains exactly what the problems are. it’s also damn funny.

Political Ranting:

With that out of the way we can take a moment to rant about some of the
more amusing extremes in political feminism. Notice how I said that…
several people I consider very smart are ‘feminists’ in one way or the
other and they are reasonable people working to a simple goal.

Women should have the same rights as Men.

You wouldn’t think such a simple concept could go astray
and for the intelligent folks who have an ounce of logic it does not. But
there are

extremes and

freaks with

some

confused

ideas out there… it is of

them I speak

Anyway, I get pretty tired bringing up how insane most of
this is… I don’t
need to repeat that I am pretty sure it is a
self esteem
issue because they can’t

measure up to what many people see as pretty that somehow becomes our
fault, not just a sad fact of the

genetic lottery. I could go on and on about how much some of these

people

hate erotica and don’t mind using abusive

censorship tactics to suppress other ideas, and god forbid if you try
and

look good.

Speaking of NOW, go take their

body image survey and tell them that you think images of unhealthy
bodies on the ‘big
side‘ suck too.

Oh, while we are talking about
beauty there is
some good news. According to NOW the body we keep hearing is "impossible"
and "unhealthy" and "airbrushed" actually

occurs naturally in about 8% of females. In other words, roughly 8 out
of 100 women is naturally

really damn hot.

On the topic of sex, it turns out lots of it is happening among

young girls and older guys. The related
NOW thread is somewhat amusing.
