May folks are curious about Flagg, since it is clear from my tweets that he is in the hospital (again). Looking back, it seems the privacy I accord him may leave some confused that he is “still” there from the transplant.
Nope – here is a rough order of events
- Flagg had a double transplant, pancreas and kidney
- After a multi-week recovery, he was released
- He spent a few weeks at home, regaining his strength from being immobile during his recovery
- A complication from the surgery created and incident that required, I sh_t you not, professional crime scene experts to clean up*
- Back into the hospital he went… the problem resolved and the donated organs checked
- Both organs are working fine, neither was damaged during the incident
- Due to being opened up to check the organs, Flagg has had to recover from surgery a second time
- He is now undergoing physical therapy, his health and spirits are fine
